2010 Christmas won't be the first and the last time that Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder would be collaborating for 'Tees Maar Khan'. That's because the makers have already formed up the plans to make many more in the series of 'Tees Maar Khan', just as is the case with Hollywood character franchise flicks like 'Austin Powers', 'Pink Panther' and 'James Bond'.
"Yes, we are going ahead with the next instalment of 'Tees Maar Khan' as well. This was always planned right from the time I started writing the film", says Shirish Kunder who is also the co-producer of the two films along with Akshay Kumar, "We didn't want to wait till the release of 'Tees Maar Khan' and then make an announcement. Our decision isn't dependent upon how audience receive the film now because I have already begun writing for 'Tees Maar Khan 2'."
Yet again, the film would star Akshay Kumar as the central protagonist. However, it is not confirmed whether Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna would be seen in the second instalment or not. Also, the film could be directed by Farah Khan again or Shirish himself.
"All of that that would be decided once the script is in place. I am just getting into the first draft now. It would take some time before I have the bound script ready", says Shirish in an enthusiastic tone, "I am targeting to kick start the shooting in 2012 though once I am through with directing 'Joker' followed by 'Kick' in 2011."
