Over three months after quitting Congress, former MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy announced he would launch his political party on Saturday to be called 'YSR Congress Party'.
Speaking at a public meeting at Jaggampeta in East Godavari district, Jagan said the party's flag would be unveiled tomorrow in the family estate at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district where his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was buried.
The party's 'tri-colour' flag would be unveiled by Jagan and his mother Vijayalakshmi at 2.29 pm, which would be a low-key event.
Jagan said the party's policies and programmes would be announced later at a public meeting at Idupulapaya ahead of elections in Kadapa district for legislative council and also Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly constituencies.
The 'YSR Congress Party' would strive for ensuring a happy smile on the face of every poor man, Jagan said.
