Reactor building at Fukushima plant collapses
One of the four buildings at the damaged Fukushima I nuclear plant has been destroyed in an apparent explosion, Japan's NHK broadcaster reported Saturday.
Witnesses heard the sound of an explosion and saw white smoke emerging from the plant, NHK reported. The cause was not known.
Tokyo Electric Power Co, the plant's operator, said four people had been injured, according to the Kyodo news agency.
Technicians had been working at releasing pressure from the plant's reactors to avert a meltdown of the reactors.
Increased levels of radiation had been detected in the area of the power plant following Friday's earthquake.
Radioactive caesium has been detected in the vicinity of the damaged nuclear plant in north-eastern Japan, Kyodo news reported, quoting the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency.
The presence of the substance is an indication of a meltdown.
Earlier Saturday, authorities extended the evacuation zone to residents living within 10 km of the Fukushima Daiichi plant, also known as Fukushima I, where the cooling system experienced troubles Friday.
Officials at a checkpoint 60 km from the plant warned of danger in the area, according to the BBC.
Meanwhile, residents within 3 km of the Fukushima Daini power plant, known as Fukushima II, were ordered to leave their homes.
The government was holding a crisis meeting Saturday to discuss the situation at the two nuclear power plants. Authorities planned to release radioactive steam in order to relieve pressure on the reactors and prevent a disaster.
Radiation measurements inside the Fukushima Daiichi plant were 1,000 times higher than normal after the massive earthquake, Kyodo news reported earlier.
Authorities were concerned that radioactivity may have escaped the plant due to high pressure inside an overheating reactor. The earthquake damaged power supplies and disrupted the reactor's cooling systems. An observation post near the plant's gate recorded radiation levels eight times higher than normal.
The cooling system for three reactors at Fukushima Daini were also not operating, Kyodo news reported.

RGV shocked by Journalists, Journalist's Shocking Question To RGV, Dongala Mutha wallpapers
Usually, it is the habit of Ramgopal Varma to give shocks to all with his questions but this time, it was his turn to face an interesting situation. All this happened during the pressmeet on the eve of his ‘Dongala Mutha’ teaser and the concepts behind the making of this film.
A noted journalist Madhu from Sakshi group asked “since the film is made with zero budget, why not have an option wherein the audience watch the film and then decides whether to give money if they like it?”. The immediate reaction from Ramu was ‘Abbaaa…..Aaasa!!’
While Madhu got his answer, another person Suresh Kondeti from Santosham magazine asked “by doing KSD Appalaraju, the talk is that Sunil’s career got a setback. Now with Ravi Teja flying high in his career, do you think ‘Dongala Mutha’ might hamper his graph?”.
For this, director Harish Shankar who was present answered and quoted the example of ‘Shock’ with Ravi Teja which brought smiles to all.
“Suresh ji! You know how we both as director and producer pulled back the career of Ravi Teja with ‘Shock’. I think this is not time to talk about pulling back careers”, said director Harish Shankar.
To this Suresh Kondeti reacted, “I asked this question to RGV”.
To this Harish answered, “But I answered you only”.
That brought laughs for all.

Sonakshi not bold as Bips, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonakshi Latest, Prabhu deva, Akshay Kumar, Dabangg
The one-film old Sonakshi Sinha has already walked her way into prestigious projects like Joker and Prabhu Devaa's next with Akshay Kumar, an untitled film with Kamal Haasan, Race-2 with Saif Ali Khan, Dabangg-2 and Kick with Salman Khan.
Salman's protégé does come with her share of will-dos and won't-dos. Being the daughter of BJP Minister and yesteryear superstar Shatrughan Sinha comes with its share of advantages; and responsibilities.
A trade source says, "She is already getting paid a bomb. We hear that her remuneration for Race-2 is almost a crore and she is getting paid twice that amount for the Kamal Haasan film.'' What's more, according to trade circles, Sonakshi has a stringent contract. "It stipulates 'no kissing, no explicit lovemaking and no bikini','' says our source.
Because of her lineage, the Dabangg girl is allowed to dictate terms to filmmakers. Though the born-with-a-chip-on-her-square-shoulders actress refuses to divulge anything, a source from the crew of Race-2 reveals that she has made it clear to director-duo Abbas-Mustan that she is okay with doing something as hot as Katrina, but she will not do the kind of bold scenes that Bipasha did in Race.
Quick Rewind:
Saif and Bipasha steamed it up in a barn scene in Race and the Bengali bombshell also seduced' Akshaye Khanna on screen with her bare-n-dare act. Whereas Kat played the sweet secretary who shed her inhibitions in just the song-dance routine.
Kat wants to marry Ranbir, Katrina wants to Marry Ranbir Kapoor
Katrina denies it but sources allege her insistence on a ring is the reason behind her spat with Ranbir
Some say that it's his alleged coziness to his Rockstar co-star Nargis that is causing issues between Kat and him.
But a rather reliable source also tells us that things are getting sour between Kat and him because the 27-year-old is not willing to marry Katrina who allegedly is insisting on having a rock on her finger.
A source tells us, "It was only incidental that Ranbir's fondness for Nargis increased recently. However, what has really distanced him from Katrina is her demand that they get married, by March 2012, if not December 2011. She clearly told him that they should tie the knot in a year's time."
Katrina on her end claims these rumours are tommyrot. "These rumours are embarrassing, ugly, a million miles from the truth, beyond fiction.
The so-called people close to me who are saying these things actually have no proximity to me Ranbir is a friend, but there is nothing beyond. So there is no question of my breaking up with him or asking for marriage."
Well, wedding bells were chiming in Kat's head some time ago, when in an interview she told Mumbai Mirror, on 25 Jan 2010 to be specific, that she wanted to get hitched in 2012.
However, the Rajneeti actor, who has been dating Kat for nearly two years, ever since they worked together on Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani, seems to be taken aback by her demands.
The source explains Ranbir's bewilderment, saying, "Well, he didn't know what to do. He explained to Katrina that marrying her in a year's time wouldn't be possible since he is too young. Ranbir doesn't want to pin himself down in life."
Think of it, Katrina was more demanding than Deepika in her relationship with Ranbir. While Deepika asked for commitment, Katrina asked for shaadi, claims our source.
Reconciliation between the two lovers is not ruled out, says our source. "It would be more apt to say that they have had a big fight at the moment, rather than to say that they have ended their relationship.
Katrina would love to get back with Ranbir, who also likes her very much. But he is certainly not thinking in terms of marriage with her at this point of time."
It may be recalled that Mumbai Mirror (November 3, 2009) was the first to tell you the real reason why Ranbir split with Deepika; Ranbir was not discreet about his less-than-innocent encounters with other women then. Maybe he knows himself too well to commit to something as serious as marriage...
Japan Quake Causes Emergencies at Five Nucear Reactors, Japan Earth quake, Tsunami in Japan, Tokyo
Defense Ministry official Ippo Maeyama said the ministry has dispatched dozens of troops trained for chemical disasters to the Fukushima plant in case of a radiation leak, along with four vehicles designed for use in atomic, biological and chemical warfare.
Pineville, La., resident Janie Eudy said her husband, Danny, was working at Fukushima No. 1 when the earthquake struck. After a harrowing evacuation, he called her several hours later from the parking lot of his quake-ravaged hotel.
He and other American plant workers are "waiting to be rescued, and they're in bad shape," she said in a telephone interview.
Danny Eudy, 52, a technician employed by Pasadena, Texas-based Atlantic Plant Maintenance, told his wife that the quake violently shook the plant building he was in. "Everything was falling from the ceiling," she said.
Eudy told his wife that he and other workers were evacuating the plant when the tsunami swept through the area, carrying away homes and vehicles. They retreated so they wouldn't get caught up in the raging water.
"He walked through so much glass that his feet were cut. It slowed him down," she said.
After the water started to recede, Eudy and other workers drove to their hotel, only to find it in shambles.
"Most of the hotel was gone," she said. "He said the roads were torn up and everything was a mess."
His hotel room was demolished along with all of his belongings, so Eudy had to borrow a resident's phone to call his wife early Friday morning.
The workers were waiting for daylight but contemplating seeking higher ground in case another big wave hit.
"He sounded like he was in shock. He was scared," Janie Eudy said. "They're totally on their own, trying to just make it."
Neil Sheehan, a spokesman for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, said staff were trying to collect more information on what was happening.
At the Fukushima Daiichi site, "They are busy trying to get coolant to the core area," Sheehan said. "The big thing is trying to get power to the cooling systems."
Speaking at the White House, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also said U.S. Air Force planes were carrying "some really important coolant" to the site, but administration officials later said she misspoke. The U.S. offered such help but the Japanese said they didn't need it, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
High-pressure pumps can temporarily cool a reactor in this state with battery power, even when electricity is down, according to Arnold Gundersen, a nuclear engineer who used to work in the U.S. nuclear industry. Batteries would go dead within hours but could be replaced.
The nuclear reactor was among 10 in Japan shut down because of the earthquake.
The Fukushima plant is just south of the worst-hit Miyagi prefecture, where a fire broke out at another nuclear plant. The blaze was in a turbine building at one of the Onagawa power plants. Smoke could be been coming out of the building, which is separate from the plant's reactor, Tohoku Electric Power Co. said. The fire has since been extinguished.
Another reactor at Onagawa was experiencing a water leak. The U.S. Geological Survey said the 2:46 p.m. quake was a magnitude 8.9, the biggest earthquake to hit Japan since officials began keeping records in the late 1800s.
A tsunami warning was issued for a number of Pacific, Southeast Asian and Latin American nations.
At the two-reactor Diablo Canyon plant at Avila Beach, Calif., an "unusual event" — the lowest level of alert — was declared in connection with a West Coast tsunami warning. The plant remained stable, though, and kept running, according to the NRC.

32 killed in major tsunami after 8.9 Japan quake, Largest Earthquake in Tokyo Japan, Tsunami In Japan, Northern Japan Tsunami
TOKYO — TOKYO (AP) - A powerful tsunami spawned by the largest earthquake in Japan's recorded history slammed the eastern coast Friday, sweeping away boats, cars, homes and people as widespread fires burned out of control. Tsunami warnings blanketed the entire Pacific, as far away as South America, Canada, Alaska and the entire U.S. West Coast.
Authorities said at least 32 people were killed. The magnitude 8.9 offshore quake was followed by at least 19 aftershocks, most of them of more than magnitude 6.0. Dozens of cities and villages along a 1,300-mile (2,100-kilometer) stretch of coastline were shaken by violent tremors that reached as far away as Tokyo, hundreds of miles (kilometers) from the epicenter.
A utility company in northeastern Japan reported a fire in a turbine building of nuclear power plant.
"The earthquake has caused major damage in broad areas in northern Japan," Prime Minister Naoto Kan said at a news conference.
Even for a country used to earthquakes, this one was of horrific proportions. It unleashed a 23-foot (7-meter) tsunami that swept boats, cars, buildings and tons of debris miles inland.
Large fishing boats and other sea vessels rode high waves into the cities, slamming against overpasses. Upturned and partially submerged vehicles were seen bobbing in the water.
Waves of muddy waters swept over farmland near the city of Sendai, carrying buildings, some on fire, inland as cars attempted to drive away. Sendai airport, north of Tokyo, was inundated with cars, trucks, buses and thick mud deposited over its runways. Fires spread through a section of the city, public broadcaster NHK reported.
The tsunami roared over embankments, washing anything in its path inland before reversing directions and carrying the cars, homes and other debris out to sea. Flames shot from some of the houses, probably because of burst gas pipes.
"Our initial assessment indicates that there has already been enormous damage," Chief government spokesman Yukio Edano said. "We will make maximum relief effort based on that assessment."
He said the Defense Ministry was sending troops to the quake-hit region. A utility aircraft and several helicopters were on the way.
A large fire erupted at the Cosmo oil refinery in Ichihara city in Chiba prefecture near Tokyo and was burning out of control with 100-foot (30 meter) -high flames whipping into the sky.
In northeastern Japan's Miyagi prefecture, a fire broke out in a turbine building of a nuclear power plant. Smoke was observed coming out of the building, which is separate from the plant's reactor, and the cause is under investigation, said Tohoku Electric Power Co. the company said.
There have been no reports of radioactive leaks or injuries, the company said. Several nuclear plants elsewhere along the coast were also partially shut down, with no reports of leakage.
Also from Miyagi prefecture, NHK showed footage of a large ship being swept away and ramming directly into a breakwater in Kesennuma city.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the 2:46 p.m. quake was a magnitude 8.9, the biggest earthquake to hit Japan since officials began keeping records in the late 1800s.
A tsunami warning was extended to a number of Pacific, Southeast Asian and Latin American nations, including Japan, Russia, Indonesia, New Zealand and Chile. In the Philippines, authorities said they expect a 3-foot (1-meter) high tsunami.
The quake struck at a depth of six miles (10 kilometers), about 80 miles (125 kilometers) off the eastern coast, the agency said. The area is 240 miles (380 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo.
In downtown Tokyo, large buildings shook violently and workers poured into the street for safety. TV footage showed a large building on fire and bellowing smoke in the Odaiba district of Tokyo. The tremor bent the upper tip of the iconic Tokyo Tower, a 333-meter (1,093-foot) steel structure inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
In central Tokyo, trains were stopped and passengers walked along the tracks to platforms. NHK said more than 4 million buildings were without power in Tokyo and its suburbs.
Large numbers of people waited at Tokyo's Shinjuku station, the world's busiest train station, for service to resume so they could go home. TV announcers urged workers not to leave their offices to prevent injuries in case of more strong aftershocks.
Osamu Akiya, 46, was working in Tokyo at his office in a trading company when the quake hit.
It sent bookshelves and computers crashing to the floor, and cracks appeared in the walls.
"I've been through many earthquakes, but I've never felt anything like this," he said. "I don't know if we'll be able to get home tonight."
Footage on NHK from their Sendai office showed employees stumbling around and books and papers crashing from desks. It also showed a glass shelter at a bus stop in Tokyo completely smashed by the quake and a weeping woman nearby being comforted by another woman.
Several quakes had hit the same region in recent days, including a 7.3 magnitude one on Wednesday.
Hiroshi Sato, a disaster management official in northern Iwate prefecture, said officials were having trouble getting an overall picture of the carnage.
"We don't even know the extent of damage. Roads were badly damaged and cut off as tsunami washed away debris, cars and many other things," he said.
Tokyo's main airport was closed. A large section of the ceiling at the 1-year-old airport at Ibaraki, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo, fell to the floor with a powerful crash.
Dozens of fires were reported in northern prefectures of Fukushima, Sendai, Iwate and Ibaraki. Collapsed homes and landslides were also reported in Miyagi.
Japan's worst previous quake was in 1923 in Kanto, an 8.3-magnitude temblor that killed 143,000 people, according to USGS. A 7.2-magnitude quake in Kobe city in 1996 killed 6,400 people.
Japan lies on the "Ring of Fire" - an arc of earthquake and volcanic zones stretching around the Pacific where about 90 percent of the world's quakes occur, including the one that triggered the Dec. 26, 2004, Indian Ocean tsunami that killed an estimated 230,000 people in 12 nations. A magnitude-8.8 temblor that shook central Chile last February also generated a tsunami and killed 524 people. sai, Sunil Grover, Rehman and Sahil Khattar.

Nargis causes Ranbir-Kat split, Ranbir Katrina split up due to Nargis, Ranbir kapoor and katrina split up, Nagris made Ranbir Katrina to Split up
Last week, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif split-up and the reason for their separation is said to be Ranbir’s ‘Rockstar’ actress Nargis Fakiri. Ranbir is taking too much interest on Nargis which did not go well with Kat. She is also miffed with him that he does not give her enough time.
A source close to the couple throws light on the matter, "It wasn't a surprise for anyone. They had been arguing and fighting for over a month. When the new gal got in the frame, it only got worse. Kat was totally against him spending time with her. There were times when he was with Fakhri and wouldn't pick up Katrina's calls. He said they were meeting to see the film's rushes, but later she realised he was just making excuses to spend time with her."
Ranbir’s ex Deepika Padukone is also another reason for their break up. It is believed that director Ayan Mukherjee is keen to rope Deepika as Ranbir’s heroine for his next project and Katrina does not want her boyfriend to act with his ex-flame again.
After breaking up with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif has given100% to her relationship and even went public about her relationship with Ranbir.
Well, Kat again proved unlucky in love.
Taliban Osama's gang threatens Veena Malik, Veena Malik threatened by Osama, Talibans Threatens Veena malik, pakistan, veena malik
Veena Malik, who became a household name after appearing on the Indian reality show, has received death threats from Taliban.
She is in possession of a letter (a copy of which is available with TOI) by Maulana Masood, Mujaheddin leader connected with Osama bin Laden, accusing her of humiliating Islam and Pakistan’s name during her stay in the Bigg Boss’ house. The helpless model-turned-TV star has decided to seek asylum in other countries.
The actress who cosied up with male contestants on the show and flaunted her curves unabashedly was criticised by the media in her country. Says the defiant girl, “I’m an artist and I would have felt guilty if I had done something wrong, but I haven’t. I have worn the same clothes in Pakistan and behaved in the same fashion back home, so suddenly what’s my fault? I cannot be issued death threats for participating in a TV show in India.”
“We are neighbours for God’s sake and artists should have no boundaries to worry about.”
Veena, who is currently shooting a cricket show for an Indian TV news channel says, “I went back to Pakistan knowing the repercussions of my vibe on the show, but I never thought in my wildest of dreams that I would have to contemplate about leaving my country, my birthplace. Right now, I’m being forced to think about seeking asylum. Now that even my parents are being threatened, I don’t see how we can continue to stay in Pakistan.”

Sanjay Dutt goes bald, Sanjay Dutt in Agneepath, Karan Malhotra's Agneepath, Sanjay Dutt gone Bald, Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan
It has been reported that Sanjay Dutt, who plays a baddie in Karan Malhotra's Agneepath (he plays the suave Kancha Cheena enacted by Danny Denzongpa in the original), will go bald for the role. But the reality is a little different.
A visitor to the set in Central Mumbai, where Sanju shot a two-day portion, told BT: "Sanju is bald in the film. He had a shining pate on March 2 and 3." However, those who met the 51-year old actor the very next day at his Pali Hill residence found his mop of hair intact. In other words, the actor hasn't actually gone bald like Aamir Khan did for Ghajini and Salman Khan for Tere Naam. He is cheating the 'bald' look.
Producer Karan Johar has called the international make-up artist Robin Slater to style Hrithik and also supervise Sanju's look. The make-up expert was seen fussing over the actor. There are a lot of things about this Agneepath that are different from the original Amitabh Bachchan-Mukul Anand cult classic of the 90s. There Danny had a nice mop of hair and was based out of Mauritius. Here, Dutt is bald and his headquarters are in the union territory of Diu. Sanjay remained unavailable for comment.
The hair scare
The Bollywood brigade, especially those who have done hair-weaving jobs (Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor and Sunny Deol) aren't keen on shaving their heads for a role because it can complicate issues as far as growing it back is concerned. Also there is the continuity factor involved in films. Says an expert, "In a nutshell, guys with hair implants should ideally not risk shaving their hair just for a role. The scalp in their case is not conditioned for too many experiments.''
We women are kickass: Rani Mukerji, Womens day, Meera Gety, International Women's Day
2011 (at least the first three months) belong to Meera Gety, the spitfire, will-stop-at-nothing scribe from No One Killed Jessica; a role beautifully embodied by Rani Mukerji. This made her the ideal candidate to edit TOI's International Women's Day issue.
The dynamic actress says that playing the part and adding her own vibe to it, came naturally to her because, "the screen character of the go-getting journalist is in a way synonymous to the modern Indian woman who doesn't shy away from getting what she wants, no matter how she does it.''
She adds, "I just felt this is how the character should have been, without of course getting into the cuss words... because that is cinematic liberty. However what is important here is that the behaviour of Meera is unapologetically done. And, it is sheer coincidence that she is shown as a journalist. Honestly Meera could be anyone. She could be a doctor, a lawyer or an editor.''
But for the light-eyed actress, the real achievers are not just the ones who are out there in the world. She salutes the spirit of every housewife in India, "I feel people like us, with our achievements, still have the liberty to take a break from the routine matters like running a home. I don't think we will be able to do what the average Indian homemaker does on a regular basis. I consider them super women. Honestly, for me that is the most attractive quality in today's modern woman. In every sphere, be it journalists, pilots, police officers, corporate heads or actresses, all of us are trying to achieve something. We stop at nothing."
She feels there are no limitations for women, "We aren't satisfied. We feel satisfied when we have our children and take that break to nurture our kids and physically gain strength. But even that is just a temporary break. Soon we are back on our feet.We women are just kick ass! We are super!''
Asked whether it is necessary to have one day a year earmarked to celebrate the spirit of womanhood, Rani says, "It should not be restricted to one particular day. But it doesn't hurt if it is scheduled as March 8, which is also my birth month. So for me it is an extra special month. I don't think we have a men's day marked out and that makes me happy! Like I keep saying, women are special.''
Rani's take on going under the knife
"I know of many actors who go under the knife to alter their looks. But personally, I am against that. God has made us all different and special. It's best to work around it.
As they say, sab ko sab kuch nahi milta. This holds good in everyone's case. But then, if surgery can help one boost their confidence and it's a must-do, then to each her own. I am not here to pass judgement on their personal choices. However, in my case, I have my parents to thank. I have great genes."
Partying has become a liability for Rani
"I've never really been a party person. I started working at the age of 17 and didn't get to party at an age when everyone else is. I didn't even realise when my 20s got over. It's just been the last 3-4 years that I took a break and started taking things a little easy.
But still, partying has not really happened. I can't get myself to get ready for a party! You have to be flawless when you go for one! God forbid if you wear chappals at one or repeat a set of earrings! (laughs) Partying has become a liability because now, you have to dress up for people who're watching you. I prefer staying at home with my niece and nephew, they entertain me. And if I go out, it's for dinner with friends and family."
Rani's Mr perfect
"I have always been in awe of the women in my family, who have been very strong, independent and open-minded. My nani was very keen on seeing one of her daughters as an actress. And she didn't give up until one of them (Debashree Roy) actually became a renowned actress. My nani has been a very inspiring woman. My mom too is very talented. She has sung songs with Mohammed Rafi on the stage. And she has been a wonderful mother to me and my brother."
What Rani wants in a man...
A man who respects my parents.
A chilled out guy, who doesn't take things too seriously.
Someone who matches my wavelength.
I would be attracted to a man who understands me.
He should be sexually active (laughs).
Rani's take on Hollywood movies
"As for women playing strong roles in Hollywood movies? Well there are so many, but a few come immediately to mind. There's Meryl Streep who I loved in Mamma Mia. She was simply amazing in that.
And Titanic happens to be an all-time favourite for the way it was made and Kate Winslet who was great in it. And Erin Brokovich for playing such a strong true-life character. She was married, had three kids and in addition to that, she was able to achieve something so great."

Designer duo Ashima and Leena Singh have come forward to help Slumdog Millionaire's child star Rubina Ali, who lost her home in the big blaze in Bandra, Mumbai.
The designers have decided to give specially-designed outfits, pair of shoes and other accessories to support Rubina, who shot to global fame after her role as young Latika in Danny Boyle's multiple Oscar-winning movie in 2009.
"Besides wardrobes, we will be giving her an album showcasing the star's talent in ramp shows for us. We will try to help her in rebuilding her house and career," Leena told.
"We have also asked our friends and other artists in Mumbai to tender help to affected people," the designer said.
At least 21 people were injured and over 2,000 people were homeless in the fire broke out in Garib Nagar slums near Bandra (East) on March 4.
The family of Rubina watched helplessly as their shanty in the crowded slum went up in flames.
"We all were at home watching TV, when a neighbour came to alert us about the fire. We all rushed out. We spent the entire night at the railway station. I have lost everything including books and precious belongings like photographs, newspaper clippings and memorabilia of the film," the 12-year-old child artiste said.
Ashima-Leena are on board of NGO Khushii engaged in rehabilitating street children.
The designers had played a pivotal role in designing the outfits for hundreds of artists during the opening and closing ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games on October 3 and 14 last year.
Ashima-Leena is one of the most recognisable brands of the country. The two sisters-in-law set it up in 1993.

Lindsay Lohan's '25K dollars necklace stealing' video sold for 350K dollars!, Lindsay Lohan Necklace stolen, Lindsay Latest, Mean Girls
The surveillance footage showing Lindsay Lohan allegedly stealing a necklace worth 2,500 dollars has apparently been sold.
The jewelry store has reportedly sold the surveillance footage for more than 35,000 dollars to an American TV network, reports the Daily Mail.
CCTV cameras at the store recorded Lohan, 24, trying on the necklace in question, and the footage was expected to be used as evidence against the actress.
But the sale of the footage could undermine the prosecution''s case against the ‘Mean Girls’ star, who is pleading not guilty to the felony grand theft charge.
It has also been claimed that a lawyer representing the jewelry store contacted Lohan''s lawyer, Shawn Holley, last week and asked about obtaining her copy of the CCTV footage in a bid to keep it off the market.
“The jewelry store owner''s lawyer was contacting Shawn Holley and trying to obtain her copy of the video, and also wanted Shawn not show the tape to anyone,” RadarOnline.com quoted a source as telling the website.
Holley was said to be furious at the move and has played no part in the sale of the tape.
Baresall Photos of Brityney, Britney’s ex-bodyguard to release her baresall pictures she sent him, Britney spears bodyguard, Britney spear
Britney Spears' former bodyguard claims he has the embarrassing nude pictures the singer sent him from her mobile phone to lure him into her bed.
Fernando Flores has told pals he will use the "filthy" snaps in court to back his 9 million pounds sexual harassment lawsuit against the singer, reports the Sun.
"They are really explicit images that will shock and disgust the majority of her fans," said a friend of Flores, who claims to have seen the pictures.
"Fernando says he can prove the photos were taken on Britney's phone and sent to his mobile.
"He says she sent them last April when she was coming on to him on a daily basis. He left the following month.
"Some of the pictures show Britney with the camera between her legs. Others show her in provocative positions wearing lingerie.
"There are a few where she is naked, exposing herself in a way that she clearly hoped would make him aroused," he added.
Mum-of-two Britney, 29, however, denies the claims.
Her lawyers want the case heard behind closed doors or else "there is a real possibility that Ms Spears will be exposed to danger by the release of confidential and personal information".

It means he’s not interested in romping with any of his female fans— including Katie Price.

India beat Ireland by five wickets in Group B, India Vs Ireland, India wins by 5 wickets, world cup, mahendra singh dhoni, sachin, yuvraj singh, zaheer
Yuvraj Singh grabbed five wickets for 31 and then topsored with an unbeaten 50 to steer India to an emphatic five-wicket win over Ireland in their crucial Group B match in the World Cup at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here today.
After restricting Ireland to 207 in 47.5 overs, India made 210 for five with four overs to spare to record their second win in three outings. They had beaten co-hosts Bangladesh in the tournament opener at Mirpur in Dhaka on February 19 and were then involved in a pulsating tie with England at this same venue on February 27.
The match was played out at a sedate pace for the most part, but right-handed Yusuf Pathan provided some fireworks towards the end, hitting three powerful sixes and two fours on way to an unbeaten 30 off just 24 balls. It was only appropriate that he brought off the winning runs by pulling a short one from John Mooney to the fence for four.
Yuvraj's 50 came off 75 balls and included three hits to the fence. Opener Sachin Tendulkar (38), Virat Kohli (34) and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (34) were the other Indian batsmen who got among the runs. That and his performance with the ball made him the easy choice for Man of the Match.
Incidentally, this was the first time that a player had taken five wickets and scored a half century in a World Cup match. The fact that it was also his first five-wicket haul made it Yuvraj's day.
Though India were never really under pressure, given the depth of their batting, Ireland, who had stunned England in their previous outing here, made the home team work hard for the runs
Chasing a modest target, India found themselves on the defensive very soon, as opener Virender Sehwag fell in the second over, caught and bowled by Trent Johnston after making just 5 off 3 balls. India were 9 for 1 in 1.1 overs.
The left-handed Gautam Gambhir did not last very long either. He was caught by Alex Cusack at short fine leg off Johnston. He had made only 10 and India were reduced to 24 for two in 5.2 overs.
Tendulkar and Kohli managed to steady the innings to a large extent and took India to 87 for two in 20 overs.
But George Dockrell struck, trapping Tendulkar leg before wicket when he tossed up one and straightened it out. Tendulkar, attempting to sweep the ball, missed it completely and was caught in front. He discussed the wisdom of asking for a review of the decision but decided against it after realising that he had no chance. That made India 87 for 3 in 20.1 overs. Tendulkar's 38 included four hits to the fence and came off 56 balls.
Kohli was run out a little later. He had made 34 off 53 balls with the help of three boundaries and India were 100 for four in 23.4 overs. Yuvraj had played one from White to square, and Kohli bounded out for a single, but there was a bit of confusion and the throw to the bowler's end found Kohli well out of the crease.
Earlier, put in to bat first by Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ireland, aided by a well-constructed 75 by skipper William Porterfield, managed to make 207 in 47.5 overs after a disastrous start.
Porterfield added 113 runs for the third wicket in the company of Niall O'Brien, who contributed 46.
Alex Cusack (24) and Trent Johnston (17) were the only other Irish batsmen to get into double figures today.
Left-arm spinner Yuvraj Singh was the main wicket-taker for the Indians, with figures of five for 31 from his 10 overs. Pace bowler Zaheer Khan took three for 30 and Munaf Patel got one for 25.
There was a buzz around the stadium as Sehwag and Tendulkar came out to and they were not disappointed as Sehwag slammed the very first ball, sent down by Boyd Rankin, through covers for a four. A single brought Tendulkar to the crease, and he despatched an overpitched delivery for a four past square leg. At 9/0 after the first over, there was a sense of anticipation in the crowd.
Johnston changed that with his very first delivery, and the bowler could not help breaking into his famous chicken dance routine as Sehwag got a leading edge and sent the ball back to the bowler, instead of on the leg side as he had intended.
The left-handed Gambhir and Tendulkar kept the runs coming in through a series of singles and twos. Gambhir then came down the wicket and square cut Johnston hard for a superb four. In the next over, Gambhir shuffled across to Rankin and tucked the ball away to fine leg for another four. India were 24/1 after five overs.
Johnston struck again in his next over, sending one down on the leg stump. The batsman wanted to tuck it away past short fine leg but only ended up providing an easy catch to the grateful Cusack. There was silence around the stadium. Clearly, this was not what they had come to witness. India were 24 for two in 5.2 overs.
George Dockrell was brought into the attack and Tendulkar greeted him with an exquisite cover drive for four. Virat Kohli, who came in at the fall of Gambhir's wicket opened his account with a single off a drive along the ground to long-off.
Tendulkar and Kohli set about the task of repairing the Indian innings. Kohli got four off Dockrell, thanks to a thick inside edge that went past the wicket-keeper for four to fine leg. In the next over, Tendulkar despatched Johnston with a powerful shot to the mid-off fence.
Kohli picked up one from John Mooney and sent into the deep backward square leg boundary and in the next over, he despatched a short one from Paul Stirling, again to backward square leg for another boundary.
But, in general, he and Tendulkar were generally content to keep the scoreboard moving with singles and twos. They seemed to be confident in the knowledge that the asking rate was only a little over four an over, and the fact that there was some good batting to follow.
At the end of 15 overs, India were 66 for two. Tendulkar lap swept Andrew White to fine leg for a four. But the boundaries were now few and far between as the Irish bowlers kept the batsmen under check.
India were 100 for four in 23.4 overs after the dismissals of Tendulkar and Kohli. This brought Dhoni and Yuvraj together, and they added 67 runs for the fifth wicket. Yuvraj sent one from Stirling to the mid-wicket boundary for four. A little later, Dhoni punished a full toss from White through the covers for another four.
Such moments were, of course, rare and it was several overs before Dhoni chose an overpitched delivery from Cusack to despatch it to mid-off for a boundary. Three overs later, Yuvraj picked out a low full toss from the same bowler and hit wide of deep mid-wicket for a four.
After a few more quiet overs, Dhoni made his exit, caught leg before wicket by Dockrell. His 34 came off 50 balls and included two fours. That brought Pathan on to the scene, and promptly sent the second ball he faced to the fence for a powerful four.
The next ball was despatched towards the sight screen for a mighty six and two balls later, he came up with an ever bigger six, over long-on. That burst virtually wiped out any hopes that the Irish players may have nursed, though there was still some distance to go.
In the 45th over, Pathan hammered Stirling out of the ground, over long-on, for his third six and the crowds roared in approval. He hit the winning runs off the last ball of the next over.
Earlier in the afternoon, Ireland, who had pulled off a major upset by beating England in their previous match, at the same venue, began in edgy fashion, losing opener Paul Stirling (0) to the fourth ball of the innings sent down by Zaheer Khan, who knocked his stumps down with one that angled across at a good length and found the gap between bat and pad.
Just the previous ball, Porterfield was dropped by Yusuf Pathan at second slip after he had got a thick outside edge. The Irish skipper went on to take full advantage of that chance.
Ed Joyce (4) fell to another superb delivery from Khan in the third over, caught behind by Mahendra Singh Dhoni after groping outside the line and getting an inside edge. Ireland were at that stage 9 for 2 in 2.3 overs.
Porterfield and O'Brien kept their heads and slowly went about rebuilding the Irish innings, even as the Indians appeared to be losing a bit of their intensity as the innings progressed.
O'Brien took a brace off Harbhajan to bring up the 50 of the innings. At the other end, Porterfield celebrated by sending a short one from Yusuf Pathan past cover point for a four, with Munaf Patel hardly making an effort to stop the ball.
Porterfield took a single off the fist ball of Piyush Chawla's first over to bring up the 50 of the partnership off 88 balls. Three balls later, the Irish captain went down on one knee and sent one that was wide of the leg-stump deep into the stands at deep square leg for the first six of the innings and the 100th of the tournament.
The batsmen kept the scoreboard moving at a fairly good pace, running a lot of singles and twos.
The left-handed Porterfield sent one from Pathan crashing through the cover for four and four balls later, O'Brien sliced him to third man for another boundary.
A single off the next ball brought up the 100 of the innings in 23 overs.
Porterfield crossed the half-century mark with a powerful driive through extra cover off Chawla, who had over-pitched the delivery. His fifty came off 67 balls and included five fours and a six.
A single by O'Brien in the same over brought up the 100 of the partnership. At the half-way mark of 25 overs, Ireland were 118 for two and looked set for a respectable total.
But India finally got the breakthrough it was looking for. Porterfield pushed Harbhajan towards cover, where Virat Kohli stopped the ball and sent it in quickly to Dhoni, who broke the stumps even as O'Brien dived forward. The third umpire had no hesitation in ruling him run out, and Ireland were 122 for three. O'Brien made 46 valuable runs off 78 balls and hit three fours.
Yuvraj Singh then got one to turn away and Andrew White, who had made only 5 off ten balls, got an outside edge for Dhoni to take an easy catch behind the stumps, making it 129 for four.
Kevin O'Brien, who came in at the exit of White and the hero of Ireland's victory over England with the fastest World Cup century ever, off just 50 balls, smashed Chawla off the back foot through extra cover for his first four.
But in the next over, he made his exit, as he hit the ball back to Yuvraj Singh for the bowler to take a rather easy return catch. He had made only 9 off 13 balls with one hit to the fence, and his departure was clearly a big blow for Ireland, who were now 147 for five in 33.4 overs.
Things could have been much worse for Ireland, but Yuvraj Singh failed to hold on to another return catch off the last ball of that over, this time from Alex Cusack.
Porterfield took a single off Chawla to bring up the 150 of the innings. Off Chawla's next over, the Irish captain despatched a loose one straight down the ground for four.
At the other end, Yuvraj Singh's run of luck continued. He got Porterfield finally, caught by Harbhajan Singh at cover as the batsman smashed a rather bad delivery from him straight into the hands of the fielder. Porterfield made a well-compiled 75 with the help of one six and six fours off 104 balls. Ireland were 160 for six in 37.1 overs when he left. Cusack took a four off the last ball of that over.
Yuvraj Singh struck again in the 42nd over, trapping John Mooney leg before when the batsman moved half forward to defend and was struck on the pad. The batsman called for a review of the decision, which was upheld. Mooney made just 5 off 17 balls and Ireland were 178 for 7 in 41.5 overs.
Well, Yuvraj was not quite done. In his next over, he thought he had Cusack plumb leg before but the umpire turned down the appeal. India called for a review and the umpire finally reversed his decision to get the bowler his fifth wicket. Ireland were 184 for eight in 43.4 overs. Cusack made 24 off 30 balls with three hits to the fence.
George Dockrell was the next to go, caught behind by Dhoni off Khan. Dockrell was attempting a drive and got a very thick outside edge and Dhoni, who had a good day behind the stumps today, dived fully to his right to catch the ball just inches off the ground. The batsman had made only three in Ireland's total of 201 for nine in 46.6 overs.
Trent Johnston hit Patel for a four, glancing the ball gently past fine leg. But Patel finally got him, trapped leg before. Johnston called for a review of the decision and the umpire's call was upheld, bringing the Irish innings to an end at 207 in 47.5 overs. Johnston had made 17 off 20 balls with two boundaries. Boyd Rankin was unbeaten on 1.
Among the Indian bowlers, Chawla gave away 56 runs off his eight overs without getting a wicket, while Harbhajan Singh also failed to get a wicket, from his nine overs in which he gave away 29 runs.
Jennifer Lopez loses her curves
The famous curvaceous body of the singer is no more in sight as Jennifer Lopez have been replaced by a leaner, fitter look.
The 41-year-old was happy to show off her slim legs in shorts and her washboard stomach in a midriff-baring lace blouse when she stepped out in Hollywood this week, reports express.co.uk.
J-Lo has been following an exercise programme and, it is said, using the Dukan diet to get into shape.
The French eating regime combines slow-releasing carbohydrates such as wholegrain rice with protein-rich foods such as chicken and fish.
Lily Allen to be judge on UK X-Factor 2011?, Lily Allen judging on X factor
Lily Allen is reportedly being offered 550,000 pounds to replace Simon Cowell on the X Factor judging panel.
Meanwhile, Walsh has been offered 450,000 pounds - 100,000 less than Allen.
Allen is in such demand X Factor bosses have told her she can miss half the auditions, reports the Daily Star.
It is being said that producers had been wooing Allen for six months and offered her the mega-money deal before Christmas.
According to insiders, Dannii Minogue was still to have a firm offer put to her but it was "highly likely" they would reach an agreement.
A show source said: "Both Syco (Cowell's company) and ITV are massive Lily Allen fans and the amount of money they're offering her makes it clear they think she will be the biggest draw on the show
"She's known to have strong opinions and has huge credibility. There was a fear her hectic schedule may interfere with filming, so they've offered to divide the auditions between the judges."

Emma Watson to launch 'green' fashion line, Emma Watson Harry Potter Star, Alberta Ferreti
'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson is busting into the high-fashion world, by collaborating with fashion house Alberta Ferreti to create an eco-friendly collection.
Watson, 20, is working on the 'Pure Threads' collection meant for "sensitive people, who want to be supportive of these kind of issues," the New York Post quoted Ferretti as telling WWD.
The designer said she was attracted to Watson because of her "freshness...spontaneity and simplicity."
"She is intelligent, with a strong personality, a young, modern girl," she said of the actress.
This is not Watson's first foray into the world of fashion; she modelled for Burberry's Autumn/Winter campaign in 2009 and appeared in their 2010 Spring/Summer campaign alongside her brother, Alex.
The British actress also began working as a creative adviser for People Tree, a fair trade fashion brand, in February 2010. Part of the proceeds of her Ferretti line will benefit People Tree.
"I'm pleased that a luxury brand such as Alberta Ferretti has decided to create ecological clothes," Watson said in a statement about her latest venture.
"I believe this is a big step forward for all of the international fashion industry, but also an important step for an increased sensitivity to the problem of ecology," she added.
Salman Khan's 'Being Human' aims to save lives through healthcare, Salman Khan, Healthcare, MDRI
He may come across as a macho image in his films like 'Dabangg' and Television advertisements, but there is also a human side to this bollywood superstar that comes across through his 'Being human' foundation which has been striving to alleviate the suffering of underprivileged through its social initiatives.
The Being Human Foundation has partnered with Marrow Donor Registry India (MDRI) to create a world class registry of marrow donors in India for patients who have blood-related illnesses like leukemia, thalessemia, aplastic anaemia and congenital immunodeficiency states.
MDRI was set up in 2008 as an NGO at the Tata Memorial Centre with the sole purpose of creating a registry of committed, voluntary and unrelated donors for those patients requiring bone marrow transplantation and without an HLA-matched donor within their families. However, for the registry to be functional, more than one lakh donors need to be registered. People from the age group of 18-50 years are eligible for donor recruitment.
MDRI and Being Human have reached out to generation next by working with colleges to create awareness of the need for a world-class registry in India.
One of the first colleges to participate in this initiative is KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering and IT, Sion, who as part of their annual college festival, Surge'11, conducted a marrow donation drive on their college premises along with 'Marrowthon', a 6 km run showing support for the cause.
Stressing on the need for more committed donors, MDRI spokesperson said, "We are glad KJ Somaiya has come forward. We hope that this will pave the way for more colleges and their students to come forth and register with MDRI and thus make their contribution towards saving many more lives." Surge'11 will be held from March 3 to 5, 2011.
On February 23, a class to class presentation was conducted for the in house college students who come forward to show their whole hearted support towards the cause and a whopping 335 names have already been added to the registry in a single day.
For now students are encouraged to step forward to volunteer to give someone a tomorrow - 'Just 10 ml of your blood could save a life - Be Human.'
